Analysis Plan DescriptionPsychosocial, Employment, and Health Risk Behaviour Impacts of COVID-19 on Canadian Adults with Mental Health Conditions (Anxiety and/or Depressive Disorders); The goal of this study is to examine the two-year psychosocial, employment, and health risk behaviour impacts of COVID-19 on Canadian adults with anxiety and/or depressive disorders, as a function of sex.
We aim to examine: The impacts of COVID-19 across diverse life domains among adults with a mental health condition compared with those without a mental health condition, including mental health (psychological distress), interpersonal conflicts, employment and income, and access to medical care; the impacts of COVID-19 on changes in health risk behaviours among adults with a mental health condition compared with those without, including alcohol and drug consumption, smoking, vaping, reduced physical activity, and healthy diet; differences in these impacts as a function of sex, by comparing women with a mental health disorder with men with a mental health disorder; the two-year impacts of COVID-19 among adults with a mental health condition; Canadian sample: iCARE Survey Waves 3 to 11 (October 29, 2020, to September 13, 2022), weighted for age, sex, and province (Léger).
