| Analysis Plan Title | Impact of policy measures to tackle COVID-19 pandemic on Canadian health behaviour before and after implementation |
| Analysis Plan Description | Since the announcement of a pandemic in March 2020, the Canadian government and the governments of the provinces and territories have implemented several policies to combat the virus. Policies have changed over time, from stricter to less strict and vice versa.The objective of this project is to describe the effect of health policy and their changes on the health behaviours of the Canadian population. We will use iCARE data from the Canadian longitudinal sample (CLS): survey 7 to 22, i.e. from December 6, 2020 to December 13, 2022. We will link the CLS data with the Oxford Covid-19 Government Response Tracker (OxCGRT), data between 2020 and 2022, for each province.Variables Health behaviours (iCARE): Wearing a face mask; Avoiding gatherings; Vaccination uptake.Health policy by provinces (OxCGRT): Restrictions on gatherings; Facial coverings; Vaccination policy. |
