Analysis Plan Title | The Impact of Intention and Perceived Importance on Engaging in Preventative Behaviors Among Canadians When Sick |
Analysis Plan Description | This study aims to determine how Canadian’s intentions and perceived importance of preventive measures impacts their engagement in preventative behaviors when sick. This research will also explore the symptoms that are associated with greater engagement in preventative behaviors, especially symptoms more generally associated with Covid-19. Moreover, we will be analyzing the relationship between the intentions of adhering to preventative measures when sick, the perceived importance of preventative measures and the actual engagement in preventative measures when sick or symptomatic. Additionally, it will be useful to analyze how sociodemographic differences such as education level and income impact perceived importance and engagement in preventative behaviors. This project will use data from the sample of the 14th Canadian Representative wave of the iCARE study (January 2024). |
