| Analysis Plan Title | Association Between Trust and Willingness to Engage in Socially Responsible Prevention Behaviours |
| Analysis Plan Description | This proposed study will be analyzing the influence of trust in various information sources on the intention and likelihood of adopting pandemic preventative behaviours across a nationally representative Canadian sample. This analysis will then be expanded to samples of data collected across various countries, for a comparison of results around the world. Logistical regression models will be used to determine whether high trust in various information sources influence participants’ intention of adopting preventative behaviours. This study will focus on data from a nationally representative Canadian sample collected across survey waves from the polling firm Léger. Participants reported their levels of trust in various sources, as well as their engagement with various prevention behaviours (e.g., vaccination, masking, avoiding social gatherings, etc.) using Likert-scales. For analytical purposes, only responses indicating high trust (“trust to a great extent”) will be retained. Additionally, sociodemographic variables (e.g. age, sex, SES) will be analyzed to determine their effect on trust and prevention behaviours. |
