| Analysis Plan Title | Assessing the Relationship Between Sociodemographic Differences and Adherence to Pandemic Preventive Measures When Presenting COVID-19 Symptoms |
| Analysis Plan Description | This research will examine the associations between sociodemographic characteristics and COVID-19 preventative measures when symptomatic or testing positive for COVID-19. The Canadian representative sample will be used for this study, specifically using Wave 14 of the data. The results may then be compared to other timepoints during the pandemic and potentially with responses in other countries as well in a further study. Participants have answered survey questions on the polling firm Leger in January to February 2024. Multivariate logistical regressions will be used to analyse how sociodemographic characteristics are associated to willingness to engage in pandemic preventative measures when symptomatic or testing positive to COVID-19. These preventative measures include masking, avoiding social gatherings, and self-isolating. The analysis will be adjusted to account for possible covariates. Odds ratios with 95% confidence intervals will be calculated. |
